JOB SUMMARY
This position is in the Scheduling division of The Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA) and is under the direction of an immediate supervisor. The primarily responsibilities of this employee it to collect various types of bus passenger data in the field, record the information obtained on appropriate forms and provide entry-level clerical support to work section. Essential Job Functions: conducting passenger surveys and recording the data obtained on the appropriate forms; assisting in compiling data for record keeping purposes and entering and maintaining data into various computer databases. Duties may include the preparation of various standardized reports and the maintenance of records and files. Information must be entered and maintained accurately and completely in accordance with departmental standards. Instructions are received in verbal and written form and employee must be able to work independently when collecting survey data in the field and semi-independently when performing work within the office with unusual problems or situations referred to an immediate supervisor. Employee must be trustworthy and can maintain accurate records, forms and logs.
Salary $15.07 hourly

- Knowledge of and skill in performing basic arithmetic functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Subject to sitting for extended periods of time.
- Subject to frequent noise from buses and traffic.
- Subject to exposure to pollen, dust, and other allergens.
- Primarily inside a climate-controlled environment.
- Subject to working varied work shifts, including weekends.
- Subject to local travel daily.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Manual and finger dexterity enough to operate office equipment such as keyboards, telephones, etc.
- Vision enough to read written communications such as passenger surveys and to see passengers as they board and exit a bus.
- Must be sufficiently ambulatory to board and exit buses from various locations in the Oklahoma City area without the use of a wheelchair lift.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Difficulty
This classification performs a variety of routine, sequential operations following established well-defined procedures, policies, and guides that govern the field of work, but some judgment is exercised in the adaptation and modification of work tasks. The incumbent works near with others to complete work and must follow specific safety regulations and procedures. He or she must also use knowledge and skills that can be acquired on the job. The variables encountered are primarily concrete.
Interpersonal Relations
The employee may have frequent contact with various organizational personnel and the general public to exchange information related to work activity. Tact and diplomacy are required when dealing with employees and passengers. Information exchange involves providing or obtaining information on matters of a detailed and recurring nature requiring explanation and some interpretation of facts to achieve understanding.
Supervision Received
Employee reports to an immediate supervisor with work product subject to regular and/or frequent review. The supervisor is readily available for advice, clarification of assignments, and general assignments as needed. The employee’s duties and responsibilities are frequently performed independently subsequent to receiving oral and written instructions and desired work results are specified in detail.

Drug Screen and Pre-Employment Physical
If you receive an offer of employment for a position at EMBARK, you are required to pass a a Department of Transportation drug test (in accordance with Federal Regulation) and a physical examination, with regards to the nature of the position. EMBARK has a policy that prohibits the illegal use, manufacture, distribution, sale, dispensation or possession of narcotics, drugs, or controlled substances, and will require random urine and drug and alcohol tests of its employees as an enforcement measure in providing for a drug-free workplace. You will be excluded from consideration for employment with EMBARK if the results of your urine drug test indicate evidence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and/or amphetamines.
