Technical Artist
Galvion’s Warfighter Systems Integration Lab based in New Hampshire, United States is looking for a talented and motivated Unity 3D Technical Artist to bring visual realism and performance to our Virtual Reality Simulations.
This is a contract opportunity anticipated for 20 hours per week until April of 2026.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working as Technical Artist in Unity 3D environment, in particular with Virtual Reality
- Hands-on experience with Unity 6, High-Definition Render Pipeline
- Experience optimizing real-time 3D graphics pipeline for Virtual Reality
- Deep understanding of global illumination, ambient occlusion, light baking, adaptive probe volumes, ray tracing, DLSS, occlusion culling, etc.
- Hands-on experience with scenes containing indoors and outdoors simultaneously
- Deep understanding of how shaders interact with the render pipeline
- Hands-on experience with VFX and particle systems.
- Keen eye for graphics and realistic look and feel especially in military scenarios and situations such as night vision or thermal
- Military experience a plus
Job Duties
- Interact with core software developers and artists
- Clean up, optimize and improve visual quality of the scenes to meet graphics requirements of immersion and fps
- Integrate and adapt compatibility of external visual assets
- Interact with military technicians and operators for feedback.
- Occasional scene environmental artistry.
