You can find more about ACC and the work we do here.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As a Scrum Master within the Ngā Tapuwae Kōrero (NTK) ART, you'll help create an environment where Agile teams can thrive, delivering value through collaboration, continuous improvement, and effective Agile practices. Working closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders, you'll support teams to maximise value, remove impediments, improve ways of working, and deliver quality outcomes for customers. You'll coach teams in Agile values and practices, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and support continuous learning and improvement.

The NTK ART is focused on enhancing ACC's customer system (Juno), supporting strategic improvements that help deliver better outcomes and experiences for business customers. This role will primarily support two teams and provide an opportunity to influence how Agile delivery continues to evolve across ACC.

We have a fixed-term opportunity through to end of June 2027, based in Wellington. You'll play a key role in coaching, facilitating, and enabling high-performing Agile teams to deliver value.

About you | Mōu

You are passionate about Agile ways of working and enjoy helping teams perform at their best. You take a servant leadership approach, build trust quickly, and create environments where teams feel supported to learn, experiment, and continuously improve.

We value potential and growth over perfection. If you meet most of the criteria and are excited about making a difference, we encourage you to apply if you:

  • Bring experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile values, principles, and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring, and supporting teams to continuously improve.
  • Build strong relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Have excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bring a growth mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
