We are seeking a Senior Infor M3 Technical Analyst to join our ERP Development & Support team in Christchurch. This is an excellent opportunity to take the senior technical lead on Infor M3 CE and Infor OS solutions within a well-established precision engineering business that is continuing to invest in its core systems.

The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time, permanent basis, reporting to the ERP Development & Support Manager.

The Opportunity

HamiltonJet is engaged in a program of continuous investment in its underlying systems. As Senior Infor M3 Technical Analyst, you will design, build and deliver technical solutions across Infor M3 CE and the Infor OS platform, including integrations, business rules, automation and scripting.

This is a hands-on, Level 3 technical role. Around 80% of your time will be spent on technical delivery for projects and improvement work, with the balance split between M3 administration and deep technical escalation. Level 1 and Level 2 support and user training sit elsewhere in the team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking the senior technical lead on M3 project and improvement work, from solution design and build through to configuration, testing and deployment.
• Designing, building and maintaining ION integrations between M3 and internal and external systems, including document flows, mappings, connection points, monitors and alarms.
• Building business rules, business messages and event-driven automation that remove manual effort from business processes.
• Developing H5 scripts and personalisations, and developing and consuming M3 APIs (MI programs, ION APIs, REST), including API Gateway configuration.
• Monitoring integration health, diagnosing failures and driving permanent fixes at root cause.
• Carrying out M3 and Infor OS administration, including security and user roles, environment configuration, and coordination of Infor releases and updates.
• Acting as the deep technical escalation point for the M3 support team, and managing support incidents with Infor and third-party partners.
• Designing and leading data quality initiatives, including auditing, cleansing and validation, and building the technical tooling to support them.
• Leading system testing for M3 changes, integrations and releases, including test design, regression testing and release verification.
• Producing technical design documentation and applying consistent standards for naming, version control and change management.
• Building constructive relationships with M3 users across the business and leading technical improvements that address recurring pain points.

As our investment program develops, the scope of this role is expected to grow. We are looking for someone who wants to build their influence over time, taking the technical lead on larger pieces of work, shaping how solutions are designed and delivered, and contributing to the direction of our wider ERP and integration roadmap. Your development in this direction will be actively supported.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Significant hands-on experience with Infor M3 (typically 4+ years), with strong technical skills across core M3 modules and configuration.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building ION integrations between M3 and other systems.
• Practical experience with business rules, business messages and event-driven automation in M3 / Infor OS.
• Scripting and development capability, including H5 scripting (JavaScript) and working with M3 APIs (MI programs, ION APIs, REST).
• The ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical M3 issues, including root-cause analysis across integrations and configuration.
• A sound understanding of technical delivery discipline, including design documentation, version control, testing and change management.
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset with a willingness to share your knowledge.
• The right to work in New Zealand.

Experience as a technical lead on ERP projects, M3 CE (Cloud), Infor OS administration and release management, Data Lake, Compass SQL or Birst, API Gateway management, Infor Document Management (IDM), Experience Designer or workflow configuration, other ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle or Dynamics), or the manufacturing or engineering industry would be highly regarded. A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline is an advantage, though equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
