About the role

Senior / IT Executive role reporting to the Director. The position involves administering and maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure, providing user support, managing security and compliance, leading IT projects and digitalisation initiatives, and overseeing IT assets and vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, cloud services, networks, business applications and websites
  • Provide user support, resolve IT issues and guide staff in using relevant tools through IT ticketing system
  • Manage backups and recovery arrangements, and perform routine maintenance to support system availability and performance
  • Apply security updates and safeguards, monitor for vulnerabilities, and help respond to cybersecurity incidents
  • Maintain IT procedures, security policies, system documentation and audit records
  • Support the organisation's data protection and privacy obligations through appropriate IT controls
  • Lead or coordinate IT implementation, improvement and integration projects from requirements gathering and planning through deployment and handover
  • Work with stakeholders and vendors on digital initiatives, including in-house applications, websites, fleet management and fleet case management systems
  • Manage procurement and lifecycle support for end-user devices, software licences, warranties and IT services
  • Track IT hardware and software assets and expenditure against approved budgets and organisational standards

About you

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience providing first-line IT support and administering business IT systems, such as user accounts, networks, cloud services, databases, security tools or support-ticketing systems
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft environments, including Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server and Microsoft 365
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and Microsoft Entra Connect Sync (formerly Azure AD Connect)
  • Experience with low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, PowerApps)
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and work collaboratively with colleagues, users and vendors
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise support requests and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep up to date with relevant technologies and applications
  • Preferred: Any relevant IT Cyber Security certifications
  • Preferred: Experience with SQL queries, business analytics, or developing and supporting mobile or web applications
