Job description
Community Group Inc., an Associa company, is hiring a Portfolio Community Manager to oversee a portfolio of assigned HOA and condominium communities in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake areas.
This is an onsite role based at the corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA.
The Portfolio Community Manager partners with members of the Board of Directors and onsite staff to ensure the community is well cared for. The Portfolio Community Manager manages the daily operations to include administrative, maintenance, capital projects, and budgets.

responsibilities
- Work onsite at the corporate office in Virginia Beach.
- Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on emergencies, board meetings, and community events.
- Manage phones and emails.
- Research and respond to inquires by phone, email, and in-person.
- Enter and update data and community and homeowner information in the database.
- Assist homeowners with monthly payments and completing architectural review forms. Follow-up with homeowners on the Board’s decision.
- Record and track documents and information.
- Issues violation letters to homeowners and follow-up to ensure remedied.
- Create and send out mass communication by mail and email notifying homeowners of HOA guidelines, maintenance projects, and community events.
- Source vendors, submit RFPs, manage the bidding and vendor selection process, develop vendor relationships, and manage capital projects.
- Prioritize maintenance requests and work orders; schedule and coordinate maintenance vendors and contractors onsite for repairs.
- Prepare board packets and agendas. Coordinate and schedule monthly, quarterly, and annual board meetings.
- Create and manage budgets; review financial reports, interpret Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Operating Expenses, and Reserve Studies.
- Travel to assigned community sites to conduct site visits and inspections.
- Meet and collaborate with onsite staff, homeowners, residents, members of the Board of Directors, maintenance vendors and contractors.
- Walk and inspect property, ensure property is well maintained and HOA Code, Compliance, Rules & Regulations are adhered.
- Implement Board policy and directives within the scope of the management agreement. Works with the board on strategic initiatives, policy governance and association projects.
- Hire, train, and develop staff.
- Other projects as assigned.
Annual salary: $50K - $55K.
