Laundry Maintenance Manager
Job description
As a Laundry Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance team responsible for keeping commercial laundry equipment, systems, and facility operations running safely and efficiently. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise, preventive maintenance, project management, budgeting, procurement, and Team Member development.

What You'll Do as a Laundry Maintenance Manager:
- Manage the maintenance department budget by tracking expenses and overseeing proactive procurement.
- Manage the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of tools, equipment, parts, and materials.
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects, preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily maintenance operations.
- Develop and maintain departmental schedules to support continuous laundry operations.
- Lead the maintenance team through clear expectations, accountability, training, and performance management.
- Lead the Laundry Safety Committee and promote a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Maintain and troubleshoot commercial laundry equipment, including Milnor and Chicago equipment, automated rail systems, pneumatics, and logic controls.
- Troubleshoot and maintain steam, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage systems within a commercial laundry environment.
- Inspect equipment and facility systems to identify potential issues, safety hazards, and opportunities for proactive repairs.
- Use HotSOS and other technology to document work orders, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical data, schematics, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Communicate professionally with Team Members, leadership, vendors, and other departments through radios, phones, email, and in person.
- Perform general custodial and maintenance duties as needed to support laundry operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.
What You Will Bring as a Laundry Maintenance Manager:
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a commercial laundry environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, including Milnor and Chicago equipment, automated rail systems, pneumatics, steam, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a maintenance-related field preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and equipment-related issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, schematics, and O&M manuals.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Minimum of 1 year of computer experience with the ability to use HotSOS and other maintenance technology.
- OSHA Safety Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Trade certifications or licenses in refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or another major trade preferred.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work on ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and in confined or tight spaces.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with Team Members, leadership, customers, and vendors.
