Area HR Generalist
Job description
The purpose of this role is to support HR core/essential work for an area requiring advanced professional knowledge. Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems. This role reports to Mgr, Area HR Operations with frequent partnership with workforce and area leaders, area HR team, and headquarters COEs.
- Accountable to deliver the following essential activities within the assigned area:
- Deliver HR policy administration and support - including interpretation.
- Deliver workforce relations management including investigations and dispute resolution.
- Coach and support leadership with transition management (implementing change).
- Facilitate compensation related efforts including compensation coaching, promotions, in-line adjustments, etc.
- Provide consulting and administrative support related to compensation and benefits including issue resolution, analysis, coaching, proposals, approvals, etc.
- Provide time and absence administration as well as payroll support including payroll processes, final pay, allowances, annual leave conversion, issue resolution, paid leave appeal review, etc.
- Coach and calibrate with management on performance management.
- Lead talent acquisition and onboarding efforts including posting jobs, screening applicants, interviewing, conducting onboarding worthiness checks, delivering offer letters, provisioning, etc.
- Implement belonging and diversity initiatives.
- Deliver talent development and culture programs including facilitating delivery of leadership development, soft skill, and local training programs.
- Process employee job record updates (promotions, position updates, etc.).
- Conduct FTE reconciliation.
- Conduct operational risk analysis.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Lead compliance efforts with local employment requirements.
- Support accident/incident reporting.
- Implement and track alternative work arrangements.
- Onboard and deliver conflict resolution for service missionaries.
- Support local administration needs for expatriate employees.
- Lead reduction in force administration and support.
- Create and deliver area workforce communications.
- Manage labor relations (unionized workforce).
- May act as a lead directing the day to day work of other team members.
- Note: responsibilities may vary depending on the size of the area and the existence of functional HR specialists within the area structure
• Must hold a current / valid Temple recommend and /or be worthy to possess one.
- Must have at least 4-10 years of any combination of related experience or progress toward, or completion of, a relevant university (post-secondary) degree or an industry-recognized certification.

- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
