Flory Custom Woodworking LLC is a small business in Riceville, TN, that specializes in custom cabinet manufacturing. We are committed to serving our customers and are looking to hire an administrative assistant that shares our commitment and values. Our business hours are Mon-Thurs, 8am-5pm, so that is when employees are expected to be at the shop (- 1 hour lunch), unless otherwise mentioned.

Candidate should be willing to learn and adopt our company's procedures and should have the ability to work from 8am - 5pm, an hour lunch included.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- answering phone calls, emails, texts in a timely manner - This may require taking notes if the office employee requested by the customer is not present and notifying the employee properly, or it may require gathering information from a potential customer (through use of a printed guide), etc.
- customer communications - by phone, email, text, or in person
- use of Asana - Currently, this is our choice of software to keep track of all our potential and current customers. The perfect candidate will have experience with Asana, but a good candidate will be willing to learn how to use Asana to assist in record keeping for each customer, and to communicate with coworkers.
- scheduling shop production, site measures, and deliveries/installs
- bookkeeping
- ordering job materials and shop supplies
- digital organization
- physical organization - through use of Kanbans (this may require walking through the shop and up and down stairs)
- running errands
- assisting in creating estimates - with use of a guide
- participating in the 30-minute 3S (sweep, sort, standardize) chore and improvement time
- participating in the 20-minute daily morning meeting
Stong communication skills will be necessary in order to serve our customers and communicate their needs to the designer and shop manager.
What is the pay like?
Starting pay will depend on level of experience. The newly hired employee will start their 30-day probationary period on the first day they clock in. During an employee's probationary period, they will not have the same benefits as a full-time employee. After the 30-day probationary period, a raise will be evaluated, if hired on full-time.
