In the role of Area Human Resources Manager (Corporate Support Teams), we'll count on you to:
Primary Responsibilities
Act as the Human Resources advisor and trusted business partner to select Corporate Support Services teams and staff with the fair and consistent interpretation and application of HDR policies, procedures and programs. This position will report to and consult with our Central Region Human Resources Director.
Recruitment
- Collaborate with the recruiting team and hiring managers on select recruitment activities, including periodic intern hiring initiatives.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Mobility and Immigration team on mobility and immigration matters for current staff.
- Work with the recruiting team to support educational efforts that promote consistent use of recruitment tools and processes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Partner with the Corporate Benefits team to handle moderately complex benefit matters such as benefit changes, leaves of absences including STD, LTD and FMLA and other local and state requirements.
- Understand benefit plan provisions, assist with employees’ benefit-related questions of moderate complexity, and collaborate on complex questions with the corporate benefits team.
- Assist the corporate support services leadership and the corporate compensation team with personnel compensation related matters to include but not limited to salary plans and compensation market studies.
- Oversite of FLSA reviews and updates.
HRIS
- Proactively support corporate support services leadership in the adoption of best practices and tools, promoting a unified approach to usage of tools, data dashboards, HR reporting and employee data analytics.
- Assist staff in accessing online human resources policies, procedures, and navigating our Human Resources HRIS systems
Employee Relations
- Provide assistance to employees regarding the fair and consistent interpretation of HDR policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations of moderately complex employee relations issues and collaborate with the Regional HR Director on recommendations for resolution to corporate support services leaders
- Consult with Regional HR Director and corporate support services leaders on performance management and behavioral concerns including drafting corrective action and performance improvement documents
- Assist in legal and compliance matters, such as lawsuits and audits
- Consult, coordinate and manage reductions in force and terminations of employment with the Regional Human Resources Director and corporate support services leaders
- Manage the ADA accommodation process with the Regional Human Resources Director
- Ensure Human Resources procedures and activities align with federal, state, local regulations and ethical practice
- Help facilitate the annual performance conversation review process for maximum participate
- Assistance with various compliance audits.
- Coordinate with the Regional Human Resources Director to present HR related training programs within area as needed.
- Oversee the completion of employee paperwork to corporate office
Inclusive Culture

- Create various office reporting in support of our inclusive culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Certifications focused in human resources (examples: PHR, SPHR, SHRM Certified Professional)
- Prior management of human resources employees or administrative employees
- Strong working knowledge and application of local, state and federal employment law

- A minimum of eight years related progressive experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive internal relationships and be a team player.
- Detail oriented, with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various manager requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong client service level
- Ability to remain a neutral third-party and maintain credibility as a consultant to management and employees
- Ability to facilitate employee training
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
