Job Description:
BACR's Expanded Learning Program at San Pedro Elementary School is seeking committed and passionate Program Instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our programs in Marin County. As a Program Instructor you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an expanded learning setting. Be part of an innovative and creative team that impacts the community, makes the world a better place, and provides equity in education.
Commitment: August 2025 to June 2026 (Full Academic School Year)
Benefits:
$23-$26 per hour (depending on experience)
Part-time: 24.5 hours per week

Minimum Requirements:
Must have an (a) Associate Degree or higher, or (b) 48 or more college units, or (c) High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance
Commitment to education equity and leadership
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to walk or stand for long periods
Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.
Responsibilities:
Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.
Provide a safe environment
Be a positive role model for struggling students
Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school day learning
Run community circles based on restorative practices
Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
