FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST – Optometry Office
Are you friendly, detail-oriented, organized, and great at multitasking? Our busy optometry practice is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the first point of contact to our practice, making people feel welcomed, creating a positive first impression
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner, providing information as needed
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails/texts in a professional, friendly manner
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Check patients in and out with excellent customer service
- Collect payments and balancing daily transactions
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance billing
- Order and track contact lenses
- Handle clerical duties such as organizing, filing, managing office supplies.
- Maintain organization within the front desk area and ensure a clean workspace.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming office environment and assist with general office needs
- Support office management functions to enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred (medical/optometry experience a plus!)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort with technology, scheduling software, and electronic health records
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time and plan ahead
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
