Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports core human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and essential in driving a positive employee experience while ensuring adherence to policies and labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily HR support to employees and managers across departments
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientations
- Support benefit enrollments and respond to employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and documentation
- Assist with FMLA, ADA, I-9, and training compliance tracking
- Help manage performance issues, investigations, and employee relations
- Process HRIS updates and assist with payroll/timekeeping accuracy
- Contribute to HR projects, audits, and employee engagement efforts
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR experience; 1–2 years in employee relations preferred
- Familiarity with California labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR or SHRM-CP a plus

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or related field or equivalent certification/experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist. Solid experience in employee relations
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
