What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team part-time through the end of the spring semester (May). This role is ideally suited for college seniors pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure compliance with client-specific credentialing requirements, including immunizations, background checks, drug testing, CPR certifications, CORI checks, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure the timely collection, verification, and accurate filing of all new hire credentials, immunization records, and required new hire documents.
- Administer and track criminal background checks, drug screenings, and occupational health requirements efficiently and confidentially.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups with new hires and existing employees to ensure timely completion and renewal of credentials and immunizations.
- Prepare documentation required for processing employee changes, ensuring timely approvals and accurate entry into the payroll system.
- Accurately save all employee documentation in personnel files.
- Maintain up-to-date records of employee credentials, immunizations, and CPR certifications.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Interest in HR processes, employment law, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new software systems.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
