We're Hiring: Surgery Scheduler / Office Coordinator
Location: Grassland Surgery Center – Franklin, TN
Grassland Surgery Center, a brand new, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Surgery/Medical Office Coordinator to join our team.
Position Summary:
This essential role serves as the first point of contact for our patients and their families, providing a warm, welcoming experience while ensuring accurate and efficient coordination of surgical services and front-office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, confident working independently, and experienced in the fast-paced environment of outpatient surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and communicate clearly with patients and families, ensuring a friendly and professional experience
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries
- Admit and register patients for surgery, verify necessary documentation and consents
- Maintain accurate and organized paper medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff, surgeons, and outside physician offices
- Proactively identify and address scheduling or documentation issues
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
✅ Previous experience in a medical office or surgery scheduling role (ASC experience preferred)
✅ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
✅ Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
✅ Professional, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
✅ Familiarity with HST Pathways or similar surgical scheduling software is highly desirable
✅ Comfortable handling sensitive patient information and paper chart systems
