The VPA Lead is responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers regarding vehicle purchases and related programs. This role involves providing support to VPA's at various stores in their region by offering training, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to corporate rules and procedures. Additionally, the VPA Lead will actively engage in outreach efforts to identify and pursue new purchasing opportunities and contribute to process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
- Ensure that all customer service interactions meet or exceed established quality standards.
- Monitor VPA performance metrics to ensure compliance and Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience with the goal of buying cars.
- Support VPA's by providing training and guidance on corporate procedures, best practices, and contractual obligations for all programs.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex issues and work towards effective resolutions by collaborating with stakeholders to address and resolve issues within the assigned region.
- Manages inquiries of a more complex nature, i.e., escalations, special projects, knowledge base management, etc.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment by fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to develop strategies and initiatives to achieve purchasing targets.
- Actively engage in outreach efforts to identify and pursue new purchasing opportunities by researching potential leads, establishing relationships with potential sellers, and presenting purchasing proposals.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, customer preferences, and changes in corporate policies and procedures by participating in ongoing training programs.
- Maintains up-to-date information and working knowledge of all PnP processes.

Required Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to communicate with customers/vendors in a professional and efficient manner.
- Highly skilled at researching and effectively resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Passionate about helping people, and able to learn quickly and acquire the knowledge to assist customers, vendors, and internal employees accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and professional written and verbal communication skills to handle inquiries and issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Efficiently organize work priorities and accurately complete multiple tasks within strict timeframes with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of people and be a team player.
- Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including overtime.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not required.
- Ability to obtain and retain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Basic automotive knowledge/experience
Job Conditions:
- Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.
- Periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards.
- Travel up to 80% of their time within their assigned region
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:
- Standing, walking, bending, and stretching are required regularly to perform evaluation, training, and monitoring functions.
- Ability to work outside in the elements to accomplish goals.
- Vision must be sufficient to perform job functions safely as described above.
- Able to work on feet (stand and walk) for assigned work.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle purchasing or sales.
- Minimum 1 year leadership experience in developmental/mentorship coaching.
- Internal candidates must pass the VPA III exam.
- Spanish language preferred but not required.
