Senior Manager, Delivery Assurance

• Build the quality assurance framework for a major general insurer's strategic portfolio
• Independent, governance-only role with real influence over gate and funding decisions. Direct visibility to Sponsors, the EPMO and the Board
• Permanent role - $210,000 Inclusive Super

Short Summary

Own the independent assurance of project deliverable quality, from Concept through to Benefits Realisation. You'll decide whether projects are gate-ready and fund-ready, giving Sponsors and Steering Committees a clear view. Not just delivery – Sydney Based – Hybrid working

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own the Deliverables Quality Framework and Criteria Matrix across the full project lifecycle
• Independently review Business Cases, Requirements, Risk Assessments, Benefits and Implementation Plans at every gate
• Test for completeness, consistency, traceability and APRA alignment (CPS 230)
• Call out gaps between deliverables, risk registers and target state design
• Recommend whether projects should proceed, with clear rationale
• Feed independent quality insight into portfolio health and monthly governance reporting
• Escalate substandard deliverables with clear remediation paths
• Coach delivery teams and partner with Risk, Compliance and Finance

Key Requirements

• 10+ years in project, program or PMO/EPMO roles, including assurance or gate review
• Experience in an APRA-regulated entity (insurance, banking or super) with CPS 230 exposure
• Strong risk management grounding (ISO 31000, RCSA)
• Hands-on use of PMI, PRINCE2 or Stage-Gate methodologies
• Sharp financial acumen to challenge budgets, forecasts and benefits
• Confident challenging senior leads and Sponsors under pressure
• Clear, concise written communication for senior stakeholders
• Desirable: PMP or PRINCE2, P3O, ISO 31000 qualification
