Molecular/Cytogenetics Director-Phoenix, Arizona
Integrated Oncology, a Division of Laboratory of America, is actively recruiting a Molecular/Cytogenetics Director to be located in Phoenix, Arizona. Integrated Oncology is a national specialty reference laboratory providing state-of-the-art diagnostic oncology services. We provide comprehensive cancer-testing which includes cytogeneticists and molecular geneticists working closely with pathologists, flow cytometry analysts and immunohistochemistry histologists to provide high quality oncology testing services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review of patient results and sign out molecular/cytogentics/FISH reports on daily basis
- Provide consultation to clients regarding test utilization and test interpretation
- Responsible for scientific and technical direction of the laboratories
- Solve technical issues
- Participate in the laboratories' proficiency testing.
- Review and evaluate QA/QC or other performance parameters of the laboratories
- Oversee laboratories to comply with State, Federal, CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements
- Ensure that laboratories adhere to the compliance policies set forth by the Company and by both governmental and non-governmental agencies
- Review and approve technical SOP's annually as needed
- Consults with senior directors and/or medical director to identify, investigate and explore the need for new assay development, equipment and processes; and to find ways to enhance business performance and opportunities with an awareness of the cost/benefits
- Set efficiency standard for the laboratories to ensure the turnaround time objectives are met
- Proactively train staff on procedures and processes
Requirements:
License/Certification/Education:
- Ph.D. or M.D.; or M.D./Ph.D., in appropriate scientific field with two or more years of clinical laboratory experience in molecular genetics, cytogenetics and FISH analyses
- Candidate should be ABMGG board-certified or board-eligible in both molecular genetics and cytogenetics
- Must meet all CLIA regulatory requirements
- Holder or eligible for NYS COQ license is preferred
