- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish: $1.00 per hour

Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This position is responsible for auditing financial documents, reconciling statements, and monitoring outstanding accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts thorough audits of invoices, receipts, and related financial documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies, including verification of required signatures and proper documentation.
- Enters and processes vendor bills in a timely manner, reconciles invoices with account statements, and prepares payment batches for management review and authorization.
- Follows up with employees or supervisors to obtain missing or delayed financial documentation, ensuring timely submission to maintain workflow efficiency and fiscal accuracy.
- Provides guidance and support to employees and vendors by addressing inquiries related to account activity, payment status, billing procedures, and related financial matters.
- Reviews and audits vendor statements for discrepancies or errors, and proactively contacts vendors to resolve issues and ensure accurate billing.
- Prepares periodic account analyses as needed, monitoring account balances and payment schedules to ensure accounts remain current and aligned with contractual terms.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or, technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, CACI, FBI, CCL.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.

- RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation, which includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, introductions to all RCS departments, and other valuable trainings.
