Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (with Controller Duties)
Location: Downtown Midland, TX
Full-Time | $24–$30/hr DOE | Benefits after 30 days

This is NOT just data entry — we need a rockstar to help us manage cash, safeguard vendor relationships, and help keep fingers on the financial pulse of the business. We need someone who gets that every dollar matters, every due date counts, and every report shapes decision-making.
We can teach the systems and processes. What we can’t teach is work ethic, discipline, and the pride it takes to own these duties like a pro.

- Believe that validating vendor bills is KEY to ensuring a smooth payment process

What You’ll Own:
- Full AP cycle: reviewing, processing, and paying invoices and expenses
- Verifying charges, matching invoices to POs or field tickets, reconciling statements
- Managing vendor terms, payment schedules, and prioritizing cash flow needs
- Weekly cash flow forecasting—so leadership knows what’s coming in, what’s going out, and what’s getting tight
- Preparing weekly AP and cash reports for leadership and the CFO
- Supporting month-end close with reconciliations and reporting
- Identifying process improvements and plugging financial leaks before they grow
- Communicating directly with vendors, field teams, and leadership—because relationships are everything
What We Can Train:
- Our accounting system (QBO) and methods, as well as AP-specific workflows
- Oil & gas-specific billing and AP nuances
- Cash flow forecasting templates and reporting cadence
Bonus Points (But Not Required):
- Prior AP or controller experience in oil & gas services
- Strong Excel skills or financial modeling familiarity
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
