This is an entry- level position with growth opportunities available once tenure is earned within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set up new jobs in accounting and project management systems.
· Sync job cost and budget updates into relevant systems.
· Review accounts payable ensuring subcontractor payments are processed timely and accurately.
· Verify and post incoming customer payments to ensure accuracy of accounts receivable.
· Reconcile accounting irregularities in cash receipts and work collaboratively
· Review accounting and project-related records, including contracts
· Review and process change order requests in AIA format
· Regularly update project G702/703 forms for monthly draws
· Investigate project cost and budget variances and submit reconciliation reports to management
· Create and maintain spreadsheets utilized by the accounting team.
· Assist project management team to compile required information to invoice customers including requesting information and invoices from sub-contractors.
· As needed, greet, and assist visitors, including documentation/badging.
· Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
· Complete data entry, generate reports, presentations, general clerical duties and research.
· Handle office administration tasks, set up for meetings, process mail and reorder supplies.
· When required, make travel arrangements, and make hotel and restaurant reservations.
· Cross train with other Accounting Team functions providing backup, as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· High school diploma required or equivalent experience.
· Provide high quality internal/external service using skilled communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented able to multi-task and adapt in a flexible, fast paced, dynamic work environment.
· Exhibit strong work ethic: attention to detail, analytical skill, and ability to solve complex problems.
· Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Procore or Contractor Foreman.
· Reconciling municipal, state and federal certified payroll reports in E-Comply, E-builder, B2GNow
· Proficiency in working effectively with all levels of the organization, individually and in teams.
· Familiarity with accounting and project management systems.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
· Experience reconciling AIA Pay Applications
Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
· Business Administration, Accounting, or related college degree.
· One to three years of construction accounting experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
