As a Barber & Beauty Professional, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents feel their best by providing grooming services such as haircuts, styling, and other beauty services. You will offer personalized care to each resident, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Your role will make a positive impact on their confidence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide haircuts, styling, and grooming services to residents, including special attention to their comfort and needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following all infection control procedures
- Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure exceptional service
- Communicate and collaborate with the nursing team to provide specialized care for residents
- Adapt grooming services to meet the unique needs of each resident, especially those with limited mobility or other health concerns
- Ensure all equipment and workstations are sanitized in accordance with infection prevention protocols
Must Have:
- Valid Barber/Beauty License (required)
- Previous experience providing haircuts and beauty services
- Compassionate, patient, and caring approach to working with elderly residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting
- Specialized skills in other beauty services (e.g., nail care, skin care)
- Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to follow sanitation procedures
