The Role

The Client Solutions Business (CSB) Chapter Leader within the Financial Planning & Advice Product Area is a role that combines deep business and product strategy skills, knowledge of customers and financial products, and technology expertise with a passion for coaching and developing our associates.

The CSB Chapter Leader directly leads a team of Financial Planning & Advice business & product analysts team members, who work within squads. The Chapter Leader supports team members with the growth and development of their product knowledge and skills ensuring alignment on the “how” of the work they perform is in line with the needs of the business. In addition, the Chapter Leader acts as a trusted business leader and consultant to the Product Area Leader, Group Squad Leaders, and Squad Leaders on critical cross-product area business challenges and opportunities. They also provide leadership on high-impact cross-Product Area s initiatives such as hiring, talent management, and building out strategic areas.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required: MBA preferred
  • 10- 12+ years professional experience with 5-10 years Financial Services experience, especially in areas such as financial planning tools, wealth management, managed accounts, FinTech, workplace investing, and saving for retirement.
  • FINRA licenses Series 7 and 24 are required or need to be attained within first 90 days while in role
  • Leadership and management experience of teams of 12 + professionals in fast-paced environment
  • Consistent and strong background of coaching individuals to deliver business results and reach their maximum growth potential, and championing continuous learning
  • Collaborating with squad leaders to track performance, refine skills of team members, and support the business
  • History of evaluating hard and soft data, collaborating with executive partners, developing and implementing strategies, initiatives, and solutions to drive positive associate, customer, and business outcomes
  • Knowledge of, and curiosity about, current and evolving consumer experiences to partner with Product area and squad leaders to coordinate skills development and to set standards, developments, and innovations
  • Experience with resource planning and allocation within and across organizations
  • Relationship-building skills with ability to collaborate and break down silos, and work effectively across the enterprise
  • Agile knowledge and experience preferred; skills development work experience and experience devising learning programs is a major plus

The Financial Planning & Advice Product Area is working to build digital pathways to support financial planning for our clients. We craft and support innovative digital experiences that leverage industry leading methodologies that provide our customers with efficient planning experience and next best actions. Our primary objective is to make it easy for our customers to plan, find, and implement products and offerings that best align with their financial plans and goals.
