The Role

The Director, Transformation office, is responsible for working with leaders across Lumen to design, execute, and lead multiple teams through transformation efforts of varying size and complexity. This role will deliver strategies that modernize and simplify our culture and improve engagement to help evolve the execution of people strategy in the CRO’s organization. This role will utilize change management principles, operational excellence processes, and other tools to focus on driving financial and operational results, while placing a modern emphasis on enhancing organizational engagement, team culture and individual performance. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in project management, and people's strategy and cultural transformation.

The Main Responsibilities

Lead Teams: Lead Teams & Modernize Engagement and Culture

Guide the design and implementation of targeted strategies, including identification of impacts to people, process, policy, and structure, stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, organizational readiness, and long-term sustainability. Provide strong leadership to inspire and motivate teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Governance Structure: Facilitate cross-functional coordination across project plans, lead workstream dependencies, and manage the impact on downstream working groups. Oversee overall transformation activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones. Establish and maintain a robust governance structure to ensure accountability and transparency in project execution.

Strategic Mindset: Track updated accomplishments, KPIs, key issues, and/or change controls. Lead working group meetings and create weekly project status and executive reporting. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's long-term goals and objectives.

Proactive Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and manage expectations. Anticipate customer/employee needs, recognize and act on opportunities to enhance experience. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives.

Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data, evaluate results, and develop recommendations and roadmaps across multiple workstreams. Recommend measures/metrics to monitor outcomes aligned with tactical execution and track progress. Partner with the finance team for value assessment and tracking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross-functional leaders and coach/guide teams to enable the evolution of culture and engagement through scalable, repeatable operating models. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

8 - 10 years related experience and 3+ years of experience at manager level.

Recognized as a leader with outstanding communication, presentations, and interpersonal skills.

Passion for building and sustaining high-performing teams.

Proven experience in Transformation programs, culture and engagement strategy, people transformation, and building high-performing teams.

Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives, C-Suite and constituencies.

Experience negotiating and liaising with multiple operational contacts at all levels up to executives.

Experience working with sensitive data and exercising appropriate judgement to maintain confidentiality.

Champion for change, willing to challenge the status quo and push a team and the company beyond its comfort zone through compelling data, constant communication, and aptitude for building bridges across functions in the face of resistance.

Applies a quantitative approach to problem solving and has intermediate to advanced excel and technical skills.

Thrives in an organization with high operational rigor, is a self-starter, and agile. Strong results orientation with a demonstrated track record of success.

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for meetings and presentations


Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to interpret financial statements and P&L.

Experience working for publicly held, US-owned, global corporations.

Strong interpersonal and influence skills; effectively convey ideas through clear communication in team discussions, presentations, and documents to garner support for projects.


Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
