Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated lead food prep opener and cashier to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in food service and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Prepare food items as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns.
- Adhere to all health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred, with knowledge of quick service & fast food restaurant operations being a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and customer requests simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests positively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
