Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager oversees all maintenance operations, ensuring that machinery, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained effectively and efficiently. This role involves planning and implementing maintenance systems, managing budgets, and ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards. About Us:
Mountain View Mushrooms is the largest commercial mushroom farm in the Intermountain West. We provide fresh mushrooms to the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas markets. Mountain View Mushrooms has been in operation for over 20 years. Our retiring Agriculture Manager has played a crucial role in our success, and we're now seeking an individual to carry on the legacy. As an Agriculture Manager, you'll be responsible for all aspects of our mushroom growing operations, from sourcing raw materials to overseeing the entire growing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses, negotiating contracts, and reducing costs through vendor management and equipment optimization.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff; oversee hiring, performance reviews, and team development.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards; conduct regular safety training for maintenance personnel and enforce safe working practices.
- Project Management: Plan and execute maintenance projects, upgrades, and installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in maintenance processes and implement corrective actions.
- Vendor Management: Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance and operation of equipment, conduct inspections, and evaluate repair or replacement needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities systems.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Speaking Spanish is helpful, but not required
