Muddy Fork Bakery is hiring one person for a Saturday position-5:45 am-2:30 pm doing farmers' market sales for us in Indianapolis.
A good candidate will have retail experience, ability to do quick math, good recommendations, have shown longevity in their work history, and have a reliable vehicle you are willing to drive from Bloomington to Indy every week.
The new hire will train at the Bloomington farmers' market this fall and then take over Indy market sales in October or November. Working Indy market is a one-person job and comes with a raise as well as $60 per Saturday mileage reimbursement. We sell at Garfield Park in the summer and at the Indy Winter Market at the AMP in winter.
We are a small family-run bakery in northeast Monroe county with a tight-knit staff of about 8. We value equity in our work, and we believe in creating the best workplace environment possible.
We have a brick, wood-fired oven and specialize in artisan breads and baked goods. We operate 48 weeks of the year and need employees who are very reliable and in Bloomington year-round.
Pay for this position starts at $14 / hr, plus a share of tips (usually around $1 / hr), paid sick days, matching IRA contributions after 1500 hours of work, and we offer regular raises for good work.
