Canine Republic Dog Resort is an upscale Dog daycare and boarding facility located in NW Plano, TX. We are currently interviewing for an enthusiastic Receptionist/Customer Service team member . The ideal candidate would be looking for a long-term career in animal care.

Receptionist/Customer Service – Job Description
This position reports to the general manager and assistant manager. Has responsibility for customer interaction, satisfaction and maintaining the health, safety and comfort of all of our 4-legged guests.
Primary duties will include:
- Greet new clients (people and dogs) in a positive upbeat and friendly manor to instill confidence and trust that we provide a friendly, safe and professional environment for their dog.
- Handle phone and email inquiries; accurately book reservation requests, provide facility tours and explain available services and activities. Must be detail oriented!
- Collect and enter client information and pet records.
- Check-in and check-out pets, create invoices and take customer payments
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, gather and share important information about their pets. Brief pet parents on the dogs stay and how they interacted with their playmates.
- Professionally document all customer complaints and follow-up as needed
- Learn/follow our business processes and our policies including our employee handbook
- Complete cleaning and housekeeping tasks and procedures as defined
- Perform opening and/or closing procedures including cash handling/reporting
Secondary duties may include:
- Supervise staff as defined by your manager - supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Record/report accurate info on the status, activities and behavior of each pet. Communicate with all employees on matters affecting the needs, care and supervision of our clients
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills with a minimum one-year experience dealing directly (in-person) with customers
- Direct experience caring for dogs and animals or working in the pet industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends.
- Must continually display a positive attitude and friendly disposition and have a passion for animal care. Must have high empathy for our pets, their parents and coworkers at all times
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and must have the ability to multitask. Well-organized, attentive, observant, and detailed oriented.
- Must have a high level of competence in the use of computer programs and social media.
- Physically able to secure and handle all sized dogs and the associated physical tasks listed above.
- High School education or equivalent required
- Must have reliable transportation and be dependable!

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
