The Gift Shop Coordinator is a critical partner to Volunteer Services and also to the exceptional experience of our Gift Shop patrons. Responsible for retail operations of gift shop(s): purchasing, merchandising, marketing, inventory needs, daily/weekly cash reconciliation and budget tracking. Gift Shop Coordinator is also responsible for scheduling, ongoing training and communication with Gift Shop volunteers.
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED). Bachelor degree preferred.
Three or more years of retail experience. Team lead retail experience preferred.

Ensures a supreme level of positive energy and a reliable presence.
Acts in a professional manner; leads by example.
Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and operate in a highly visited area within the hospital.
Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks in response to Gift Shop needs.
Requires independent judgment, plus strong problem solving skills.
Past purchasing/buying/retail experience preferred with proven success of vendor relationships.
Proven success working with volunteers.
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of computer systems and POS operations.
Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing functions of this position.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Start: Between 8:30A-9A
Hours per Week: 40
