Job Overview
General knowledge of the methods, practices and terminology used in filing and office procedures. Performs clerical/records tasks of coverage difficulty with supervision. Operate a variety of office equipment and type 30 words per minute. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to correctly operate assigned equipment including the ability to accurately input information into the current computer system. Have knowledge for modern office practices and procedures, and an aptitude and propensity for dealing with people. Ability to organize and maintain orderliness and a neat personal appearance. Must Development a working knowledge of the occupancy policy as well as any internal operating procedures of the assigned program(s).
Duties
- Prepares checks tenant records, maintain verification for all income sources. Must have working knowledge of local policy and statutory requirements concerning tenant eligibility, as well as the ability to accurately and completely prepared lease forms, affidavits and maintain accurate tenant records.
- Verifies eligibility through the use for written third part of affidavit documentation.
- Requires and aptitude and propensity for dealing with people, and to have the ability to employ a considerate and diplomatic handling of all tenants and applicants, assuring good tenant relations.
- Prepare & submit monthly, quartley and annua report concerning occupancy as required by law.
- Insures that content acnd accuracy of the documentaion of data inthe tenant files.
- Assists in gathering and finalization of data for use at tinformal aformal hearings.
- Properly disseminates information on rules and policy and serves the purpose and intentions of the assigned housing program.
- Operates a motor vehicle as necessary to perform duties.
- Performs other related tasks within the job description.
Experience .
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant law and crisis intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 program requirements is essential.
- Experience using Yardi or OneSite software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
