If you’re a current student or recent graduate who’s studied public policy, political science, nutrition, food science, health science or related field and are eager to gain first-hand experience in corporate and government affairs at the largest food and beverage company in the world, this is the team for you.

What to expect
This 4-6 month internship with the Corporate Affairs team is an opportunity to gain real-world experience in government relations and public policy at a state and federal level to drive impact for our brands, business and employees. This role supports Nestlé’s Corporate and Government Affairs and Issues Management team which is a part of the larger Corporate Affairs team and will have primary focus on nutrition and food safety policy. This fast-paced and dynamic team will challenge you to think differently about the external and internal advocacy necessary to achieve public policy outcomes across a wide variety of topics that impact the business every day.
Our projects and opportunities are challenging, engaging and represent current business needs that require a fresh perspective. You will showcase the work you have done at an end-of-internship presentation to senior leaders in the Corporate Affairs team. This experience also provides interaction with senior management and collaboration with team members across the business.
During your time here, you will experience life at Nestlé in a hands-on environment. We encourage individuals to question why we do things the way we do, provide fresh ideas, and have an impact. Anticipated Internship dates are September– December 2025 with an opportunity to extend based on availability and need of the Corporate Affairs team.
Responsibilities May Include:
  • Monitor and analyze local, state, and federal policy issues relevant to the organization.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for a variety of audiences.
  • Attend meetings, briefings and other events and provide summaries of key discussions and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of advocacy initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Requirements
Undergraduate students, graduate students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in public policy, political science, nutrition, food science, health science or a related field.
Showcases a strong level of academic success (Cumulative GPA 3.0+)
Preferred Skills
  • Interest in government affairs and public policy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong research, analytical and project management skills, with attention to detail
  • Creative thinking with ability to bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to the table to make our advocacy initiatives stronger
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong track record of leadership
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in government, public affairs, or related fields is a plus
