We’re seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Irrigation Field Operations Manager, responsible for driving excellence in customer service across our Irrigation and Lighting business unit. This role will oversee installation, maintenance, and enhancement operations throughout our Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana branches, ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
During the winter months, the Manager will also play a key leadership role within our Snow Division. The ideal candidate will be passionate about team development, operational efficiency, and consistently exceeding customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operations & Customer Service
- Oversee irrigation and lighting services
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
- Conduct site inspections and prepare professional progress reports
- Manage daily dispatch, job prep, and resource allocation
- Serve as the main liaison between the crews, department manager, and the sales team
Team Management & Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate field staff
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce SOPs
- Promote a team-oriented culture and lead by example
Process & Compliance
- Implement and uphold safety programs and company SOPs
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, materials, and special equipment
- Ensure trucks and trailers are clean and well-maintained
Snow Operations
- Pre-Season: Train teams, stage and inventory sites, verify equipment and materials readiness
- In-Season: Direct event operations, communicate with dispatch, ensure quality control, respond to site needs, update clients, and maintain fuel/salt inventory
- Post-Season: Coordinate breakdown, equipment returns, and conduct site-level inventory
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years in landscape operations management (or equivalent internal experience).
- Ilinois Irrigation Certification preferred.
- Strong horticultural, maintenance, and irrigation knowledge.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems (e.g., Aspire) and mobile tech tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Solid understanding of snow operations and equipment logistics.
