Who are You?
You are your own individual, a leader of leaders, and an experienced irrigator who has developed and managed projects, worked with contract irrigation management, and who is experienced in quality assurance and pushing productivity with lead technicians. Because we are a smaller company, the job itself will entail 50% of field work as a Lead Technician as well. This position involves intensive labor, and you will be expected to work in the elements in all four of our Colorado seasons. Problem solving and troubleshooting skills will be expected to be well developed and very proficient. Irrigation Association certification is a plus.

We need an experienced detail-oriented irrigation expert who can help plan and prepare work plans, manage and verify the work of lead technicians, and ensure our awesome clientele continue to be remarkably impressed with our service and Water Ketch quality.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team as a Irrigation Service Manager / Technician 50/50. This means a blend of the supervisor role, and providing support for leading and developing a crew of leaders. Also, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in irrigation techniques and equipment will contribute to the overall success of our sprinkler repair service and irrigation projects, ultimately helping our business keep its edge in providing remarkably excellent service.
Responsibilities include the overseeing and delivery of the team undertaking the following:
- Install new irrigation systems according to design plans
- Perform regular maintenance on existing irrigation systems
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with irrigation systems
- Adjust sprinkler heads for optimal coverage and water distribution
- Monitor water usage and make adjustments to ensure efficient irrigation
- Collaborate with landscaping team to coordinate irrigation needs for new plantings or garden areas
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and questions
Requirements include mastery of the following, as well as the ability to guide technicians' growth in the following:
- Experience in excellent irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of irrigation techniques, equipment, and materials
- Proficiency with the use of power tools and hand tools related to irrigation work
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices
- Advanced mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems
- Ability to dig, build, and modify irrigation systems as needed
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and dependability
Growth and Development
Depending on experience, you may also be suited for another position "Irrigation Project Manager / Technician 50/50", which includes much of the above but has a focus on planning, estimating, designing, and executing projects including installations and renovations.
Positions of Lead Technician and higher are offered as year round employment. In the off season of irrigation, our projects include remodeling and construction.
