The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for discovering the prospects needs and matching them with the perfect apartment, handling calls and emails, conducting tours, and so much more!
Leasing Specialist Job Responsibilities:
- Provides current and prospective residents with the best possible customer service to retain residents and lease.
- Discovers, engages, and advances each prospect and follow up until they have set an appointment, found a home within our property, or decided not to move.
- Displays a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with residents, prospects, employees, and outside contacts.
- Handles incoming sales by phone, email, and online chat.
- Provides information regarding the community as well as services offered with the goal of generating leases for the site.
- Logs all activity into company provided databases (One Site) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Accurately communicates the benefits and features of the property.
- Stays up to date with all promotions/leasing incentives.
- Provides accurate information to residents and prospects in a courteous manner and fills all reasonable requests or requirements.
- Maintains company’s customer service and sales standards.
- Maintaining and storing documentation effectively.
- Meet with prospective renters and take them on tours of the units that interest them
- Completing lease applications and assisting with verification of application information.
- Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
- Informing prospective tenants of results.
- Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service
- Monitor use of community facilities, including sky lounge, fitness center, dog wash, etc.
Leasing Specialist Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or suitable alternative.
- 3+ work experience in a Sales Associate or similar position.
- Proficient knowledge of real estate industry, property management principles and relevant legislation.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Due to having a very small team, attendance is an imperative function of this job.
- Strong people skills.
- Available to work extended hours.
Work Environment:
- Functions daily in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Must be able to multitask.
