Vertiv is hiring a Facilities Manager in Pelzer, SC who will be responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of one or more Vertiv facilities. This includes managing building systems, infrastructure, and vendor relationships, as well as leading facility-related projects and supervising maintenance personnel. The role ensures a safe, efficient, and compliant environment through proactive facility management, contractor oversight, and preventive maintenance planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise and lead the facilities maintenance team, ensuring high performance, safety, and adherence to company standards.
- Manage external contractors and service providers for facility operations, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
- Plan and execute facility-related projects including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and space utilization improvements.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure reliability and longevity of building systems and equipment.
- Maintain and update facility documentation, including electrical one-line diagrams, layouts, and infrastructure schematics.
- Ensure all facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, etc.) are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule, track, and report on maintenance activities and facility metrics.
- Develop and manage facility budgets, including capital planning, cost control, and procurement of critical spare parts and tools.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.) and serve as the point of contact for audits and inspections.
- Support sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements across the facility.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff in troubleshooting and resolving facility-related issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in facility maintenance with progressive leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance planning and project execution.
- 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in a facilities or operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms and facility management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
