As a Barber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, and beard trims tailored to individual client preferences.
- Utilize straight razors and other tools with precision to achieve desired styles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Foster a positive environment by delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
- Mentor junior barbers or apprentices in techniques and best practices as needed.
- Manage appointments using salon software to ensure efficient scheduling and client management.
- Assist in retail sales by promoting hair care products that complement services provided.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
- Proven experience in barbering or hairstyling, with proficiency in various cutting techniques including hair threading.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of retail math for managing product sales and inventory is preferred.
- Experience in store management or leadership roles is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with salon software for appointment scheduling and client management is advantageous.
