Duties

- Provide hair styling services, including hair threading and makeup application as requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Engage with clients to understand their grooming preferences and provide personalized recommendations.
- Assist with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
- Promote retail products effectively through upselling techniques and knowledgeable recommendations.
- Utilize MINDBODY software for appointment management and customer tracking.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in hair cutting techniques, hair styling, and hair threading.
- Knowledge of retail sales principles, including retail math for effective product promotion.
- Experience in front desk operations within a salon or barbershop setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with MINDBODY software is a plus but not required.
- Ability to upsell products and services based on client needs and preferences.
- A valid cosmetology license or barbering certification is required.
