Project Cargo Pricing Manager

Summary:

The Project Manager III is responsible for providing project management support for large scale, highly complex projects within the warehousing, logistics or transportation management industry to ensure project success. The PM III is expected to possess expertise in project management competencies, implementation/integration methodologies and extensive project management experience preferably within the Third Party Logistics (3PL) industry. This position functions as a key leadership role with highly complex projects in particular startups of recently signed new clients, extensions of existing client business or internal improvement projects. The PM III is expected to deliver successful projects while working within significant constraints of time, resource and budget.

Job Duties: -

• Proactively lead and drive cross functional project management teams to ensure project success according to schedule, budget and quality requirements
• Create and execute comprehensive project plans to include scope, schedule, budget, procurement, resources, quality, risks, change control and communications according to GEODIS PMO policy
• Communicate and document project status directly to internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Manage multiple cross functional resource teams
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Support sales proposal efforts including project scoping and LOE assessments
• Mentor other project managers in best practices and indirect development initiatives
• Other secondary duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Business Management or logistics related field , Graduate degree (MBA) preferred

• Minimum 6 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience within the 3PL industry

• 5 years demonstrated experience in managing projects related to 3PL solutions of new client startups

• PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute with demonstrated project application of methodology

• Flexibility to quickly adapt to change

• Travel up to 40% as required by project

• Proficient with MS Office applications with expertise in Project Management software, MS Project, MS Project Server 2013 preferred

• Understanding of warehousing/logistics/transportation industry operations and related systems: WMS / LMS / TMS

• Financial acumen of revenue models, P/L and cost-to-completion projections

• Motivated self-starter, able to work with limited supervision

• Possess high level communication skills both written and verbal applicable to all levels of the organization

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. He/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. He/she is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
