Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and ensure the efficient management of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of inventory control, vendor management, and contract management. Duties
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and production, to ensure alignment on purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
Experience
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, with a focus on contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management techniques and MRP systems is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
