Job Summary
inExhaust is an industrial silencer & exhaust systems manufacturer located in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are looking for motivated individuals who will positively impact our company and share the excitement of our successes as we continue to grow. The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for organizing and supervising the purchasing functions of inExhaust.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day activities in the purchasing department
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Research potential vendors
- Track orders and ensure timely receipt of items purchased
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Evaluate vendors to ensure their performance is aligned with established specifications
- Prepare cost analysis
- Maintain updated records of invoices, vendors, and contracts
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
- Back up purchasing clerk to include ordering of supplies/goods, equipment, and material, reviewing, and processing/issuing of purchase order
- Continually improve purchasing methods/processes
- Special projects and/or other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, 3 plus years related experience and/or training.
- Experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and QuickBooks.
- Ability or multi-task while staying organized.
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
