SPIRE Institute & Academy is a comprehensive academic, athletic, personal skills and career development experience located within a world class event and wellness complex. Constructed on nearly 500 acres with more than 750,000 sq. ft. under roof, SPIRE encompasses four divisions: SPIRE Academy, an accredited college preparatory international boarding school and multi-sport/specialty training and development academy for 9-12 graders and a post grad program; SPIRE Institute, the research and development arm studying performance improvement across multiple disciplines; SPIRE Events, a facility and team that hosts local, national and international tournaments and events with the NCAA, the Big East, Big Ten and Atlantic 10 conferences, Olympic trials and world championship qualifiers; and SPIRE Fit, a community membership-based fitness, swim and health center open to the public. Sports currently featured on campus include swimming, track and field, basketball, esports, drone racing, wrestling and lacrosse.
Overview
The Concession Manager will be responsible for all aspects of concession operations, to include multiple- food concepts, permanent stands, portable carts and kiosks. Reporting to our Director of Food and Beverage, our Concession Manager will be working closely with other team members on site. Our Concession Team will aim to maximize sales by ensuring that guests receive an exceptional overall experience and that service expectations are met or exceeded within all unit outlets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the food preparation side of the concession stand.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Train and develop concession stand team members, including cooking techniques and food safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise team members and volunteer group members
- Interview and hire new team members, training them on company goals, policies, and procedures to ensure team performance and excellent guest service
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding alcohol, sanitation, payroll, and employment
- Execute an effective cash handling system, maintain inventory, verify sales reporting, and prepare cost and operational reporting

- Must pass a background check
