SPIRE Academy is a quickly growing elite international boarding Academy, Performance, Camp and multi-sport Event Center. Constructed atop an 800-acre assemblage, the campus hosts over 820,000sf of interior climate-controlled space and is a one-of-a-kind, world-class facility. It is the largest and most comprehensive indoor sports facility in North America.
SPIRE has seen significant growth in the 3+ years of ownership under the Ehrenfeld Companies. We have established and consistently grown the Academy business, expanded the Performance Camps platform, added a significant number of major Events, and built partnerships with global brands like The Cleveland Clinic, Marriott, Starbucks and UnderArmour. Our national event partners include USATF, USA Wrestling, Big 10, Atlantic 10, NCAA and others bringing over 1MM visitors to campus annually.
Overview:
We seek staff members to assist in facility and event operations. Facility and Event staff is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities and the execution of all events. This position includes evenings and weekends.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Represent the company through a positive attitude and customer service excellence.
- Control and Report any unacceptable behavior and professionally manage individuals not adhering to behavior protocols and facility rules.
- Problem Solving
- Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning restrooms, common areas and event space
- Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
- Works with Event Manager, Meet Director, catering staff and clients to coordinate and execute events
- Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
- General maintenance and/or general lawn care responsibilities
- General janitorial duties for public areas and restrooms
- Must be trustworthy and reliable
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Perform high quality of work unsupervised
- Maintain SPIRE standards and reputation in the industry
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening.
- Perform a high quality of work unsupervised
- Need to be able to lift 50lbs
- Flexible schedule (days, nights and weekends)
- Able to multitask and prioritize duties
- Be on your feet for an extended period of time
