General Description:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimizing all activities related to planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service within SIMTEC’s silicone and plastic injection molding operations. This role develops and executes the company’s overall supply chain strategy, working closely with Operations to maximize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. The Supply Chain Manager also plays a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring seamless operations and supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy, encompassing customer service, procurement, purchasing, planning, and logistics.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer service, procurement, planning, and logistics, leveraging the company’s ERP system (IQMS by Dassault Systems).
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain team to enhance departmental performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Engineering, Operations, and Finance to update capacity models and create coordinated business growth plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements, industry regulations, and company standards across the supply chain.
- Manage and monitor company-wide spending, establishing budget targets and cost control metrics.
- Partner with the Sales team to review customer contracts and negotiate terms, including pricing, minimum order quantities, material requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee forecasting, demand planning, and ownership of the Master Production Schedule.
- Negotiate and manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply and service.
- Oversee logistics, distribution, and warehousing operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety guidelines for all aspects of the supply chain, including the safe use of equipment such as trucks and forklifts.
