The Role

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the experienced crew of software developers across full stack design, development, testing and deliver web and application solutions. You will be a key player in ensuring clients' work on existing platforms run smoothly by handling support requests, tickets and minor enhancements. You’ll also own routine maintenance tasks such as application and framework patching, scheduled updates and performance tuning to keep the platforms secure and reliable. A clear pathway for career growth, we are looking for someone who can build on what they already know while leveraging the latest AI-assisted development tools to deliver innovative software projects for a range of clients. Attitude is key and you will be be keen and eager to learn from some of the best in the business.

What you will bring

• 1-2 years experience in commercial full stack software development
• Good understanding of PHP (8.x) and Object-Oriented Programming principles
• A strong understanding of relational database design principles with MySQL and data modelling
• Solid frontend foundations in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and building responsive web layouts
• A familiarity with Git workflows and package managers likes Composer and NPM
• The ability to problem solve, write and troubleshoot queries with cross-browser testing, debugging and maintaining clean code
• Understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills is a must as while headphones are great to concentrate while working, collaboration with the team and the ability to articulate your work is a must
• Can work under pressure and to deadlines with a calm approach
• If you've had exposure to PHP framework, modern frontend & utility CSS, Command Line & Servers, Claude Code & Gemini CLI, that's an advantage

You must have NZ Citizenship or hold NZ permanent residency to be considered for this role.
