Job summary: The Human Resources Manager's role is multifaceted, encompassing strategic planning, daily operations, and ensuring compliance within an organization.
What will you have to do?
- Managing the entire recruitment process from job postings to onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Overseeing performance reviews, providing feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Administering employee benefits, managing payroll, and conducting salary reviews.
- Creating and updating HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Identifying training needs, developing training programs, and facilitating employee development.
- Developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization's overall goals.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Implementing strategies to improve employee morale and engagement.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees at all levels.
- Need to be able to identify and resolve a wide range of HR-related issues.
- A strong understanding of employment law is crucial for compliance
- Able to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals.
- Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts effectively is essential.
- Prior relevant experience required within a union and non-union environment
- HR certification strongly preferred; Bi-lingual communication is preferred.
