Job description

  • Lead a significant organisation-wide transformation program
  • 18-month fixed-term opportunity | Melbourne
  • Senior leadership role | Multidisciplinary team

The Opportunity

The Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) is looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead a strategically significant transformation program focused on improving services, organisational capability and the way WIC operates.

The program brings together the ongoing development of WIC's Service Model, Case Management System and technology platform, alongside broader business change and operational transition.

With the program established and its direction defined, this role will focus on bringing the different projects and workstreams together, maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring the program achieves sustainable business outcomes and measurable benefits.

The Role

Reporting to the Program Sponsor and leading a multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Lead the integrated delivery of multiple projects, change initiatives and workstreams.
  • Manage program-level priorities, dependencies, risks and resources.
  • Maintain a strong focus on business outcomes, benefits and successful adoption.
  • Lead program governance and provide clear reporting to executives and sponsors.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external delivery partners.
  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary program team.

About you

  • Experience leading large, multi-stream transformation programs.
  • Strong program governance, risk, dependency and benefits management capability.
  • Experience across technology implementation, business change and organisational adoption.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong vendor and commercial management capability.
  • A collaborative and adaptable leadership style with the ability to bring people with you.

WIC is looking for someone who can operate at the program level while understanding when to get closer to the detail - someone who can create clarity, build accountability and keep a complex transformation moving forward.

About WIC
