We are a growing HVAC and plumbing company with offices in Memphis, Jackson, and Nashville. Our team values accuracy, accountability, and efficiency, and we are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our office staff.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Communicate with vendors and internal staff regarding payment inquiries
- Participate in an on-call rotation to answer emails and phone calls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop is required)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Participate in an on-call rotation once every 6 weeks to answer emails and phone calls
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
