Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients with a friendly attitude
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix
- Answer calls and texts using the Weave system
- Check insurance benefits before appointments
- Take payments and manage patient balances
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date
- Work with the clinical team to keep the schedule running smoothly
- Handle office emails, mail, and other general office tasks
- Help explain treatment plans to patients (a plus)
- Follow HIPAA rules and protect patient privacy
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in computer systems and software for office management.
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong typing skills for data entry tasks.
