Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate cake Pastry chef to join our patiss team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the French Japanese cake creation and decoration with expertise in baking and pastry preparation. This role involves creating a variety of delicious pastries, cakes, and desserts that meet our high standards for quality and presentation. The Patisserie Pastry chef will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service and lead the kitchen pastry chefs on training new recipes and developments.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards Including new recipe development.
- Utilize culinary techniques to create visually appealing presentations for all baked goods.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, ensuring high-quality aesthetics.
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate cake preparation and service during busy periods.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean working environment.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the dessert menu offerings.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the Patisserie cake industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and cake decorating skills.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of desserts for service.
- A culinary degree or certification is a plus but not mandatory; passion for baking is essential.
