Payroll Administrator
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator who will provide timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and reconcile timecards
Address inquiries from team members, supervisors, or Craft Resource Managers regarding timecard changes
Manage work portfolio for a specific operating group, including audits, missed hours, off-cycle payroll transfers, and historical corrections
Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain employee data related to timecards
Provide excellent customer service to team members
Follow department policies related to sensitive information requests
Resolve timecard inquiries via telephone or email
Build effective work relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Perform additional duties such as maintaining trackers, recording errors, creating KPIs, and working on special projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum one year payroll experience in a multi-state environment
Experience with UKG, Oracle, or ADP preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize work assignments and customer requests

The base pay range for this role is $27.00 - $36.49. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
